My rejection journey continues

Last week I got a rejection letter from UCLA for no reason.
I mean, UCLA isn't such a super-top school like Harvard or MIT; I was really surprised that I got rejected.
Then on March 18th, I got another rejection letter! This time it's from MIT.
Of course I was disappointed, but somehow that depression only lasted for 2 hours.
Then I felt like I never applied to MIT in the first place...weird.
Anyway, now I'm just waiting for the other schools I applied to, and hopefully one will admit me :)

Don't worry/panic/etc. These things are almost like...say...tossing a coin...ok, maybe that didn't help much, but really, it'll be fine. I know someone who only got one acceptance letter out of 10, but it was from a really good school...Besides, if you're not happy where you get in, you can always transfer.

Will try to be more coherent with the next comment.

Don't worry

I got rejected from UCLA too. I think the problem is that there are like 47,000 applications that went through and they could only admit less than 10%. The school is really popular and they have become very selective. Plus they really prioritize if you are a California resident because it is a public state school. I think like 85-90% in the students are California residents. So yeah don't worry about it.

Re: Don't worry

Yeah, plus lots of Asians there already as well, Brian.

Re: Don't worry

Yeah. I think 35% of the students are Asian.

Haha I read this, and thought: "Isn't that Tati?", and it took me a second to realise the person commenting and Tati were the same person, because I didn't recognise the display picture... how silly.

Don't worry about it. There are still many more colleges to hear from, and some great ones as well. Oh well, we are international students... the chances less... :S

Ekkkk....plus it is usually more pricey for people who are international or out of state residents...
